Nothing is charged. You activate the trial yourself, with no credit card; when it ends, the app automatically returns to Free. You subscribe only if you decide to later in the Mac App Store.
No. They scan a QR code and respond in their phone’s browser. They don’t need an account, an app, or a subscription.
Yes, but those companion apps are already included in Free. Pro doesn’t “unlock” them: it mainly adds unlimited use plus prep, moderation, and follow-up features.
