Does Voice work offline?

Yes. Voices and playback can run on the device without sending the content to a remote service.

Which documents can I import?

You can import PDFs that contain text, web pages, pasted text and TXT, Markdown, RTF, HTML or PowerPoint files (plus Word and ODT on Mac). Scanned pages are not recognised.

Is the purchase a subscription?

The product page presents an initial trial followed by a one-time purchase, without a recurring subscription.
