Moving Tissyo Studio to a new Mac

Tissyo Studio keeps your recordings and projects only on your Mac: there is no iCloud sync. When you switch Macs, transfer your projects, then restore your subscription.

1. Transfer your projects

Recommended: Apple’s Migration Assistant. It moves your apps and their data, including Studio projects, from your old Mac or a Time Machine backup (Applications > Utilities > Migration Assistant).

Manual transfer of a project: on the old Mac, open Tissyo Studio Settings > Storage > “Show in Finder”, then copy the .snaptuts projects to an external drive or via AirDrop. On the new Mac, install Tissyo Studio and use File > Open Project…. Tip: also export your finished videos and guides (MP4 video or GIF, PDF guide, Word document or PNG images).

2. Restore your subscription

Your subscription is tied to your Apple Account, not to the Mac. On the new Mac, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account, open Tissyo Studio > Settings > Plan, then click “Restore purchases”.

Compatibility

Tissyo Studio runs on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
